THESIS STATEMENT

Photographer Sheri Giblin has a photo essay on her site. Every image she captures elicits a gracious response. She is quite talented, isn't she... such beautiful colors and compositions.
I am very excited for summer.

CAPTURED

I thought I’d give you a taste of a few well-styled, well-composed images that are the next best thing to being there. Photographer Sussie Bell captures the beautiful stylings of Zoe Bishop (above) and Selina Lake (below) so well. They elicited a response the minute I landed on Sussie’s flikr page.

ON LOCATION #2

I previously posted about how M & I were excited to be a part of Cotton Idea Studio’s lifestyle photoshoot. Here are some more images that photographer, Joshua Cloud took while assisting Trever Hoehne.

ON LOCATION

This weekend M & I had the honor of assisting Mindy of Cotton Idea Studio and Trever of Trever Hoehne Photography during a new Cotton lifestyle and product photoshoot. We had such a good time while “on location”. Looks like Trever busted out some amazing shots; geez, their collaborations never cease to amaze us!

COMPOSED

I have always wanted to be a photographer. I inherited my grandfather’s old 35mm SLR and, although, I definitely didn’t master it, it did make me appreciate those who have. Like Michael Moran. His portfolio displays the interiors and exteriors he is shooting so thoughtfully. The light and composition create an overall mood and emotional response as you gaze into them. (It doesn’t hurt that he is shooting some of the best structures and spaces I’ve ever seen!) Make sure to check out the talented architects he has worked with... pretty sure I’m going to have to post about some of their other work in the near future.

SHOT

I think if I were to dream of food, this is what those dreams would look like. Frankie Frankeny photography is so clean, colorful and tasteful. (No pun intended.) Each product shot is beautifully composed and well thought out even down to the pastry crumbs. You might know her work from such books as: The Wine Lover’s Dessert Cookbook, The Art of Chocolate and On Rice as well as countless others lining the shelves of your local bookseller. Frankie can be contacted through email here for pricing and booking information. (Obviously, I am in the mood for some little sweets.)

I N V O K E E V O K E

Trever Hoehne has ventured into a new series of fine art photography. He is one of the most talented individuals we know and it seems he can conquer any challenge… artfully. (We’re not jealous or anything.) Some of his most recent trips to Portland, New York and New Zealand have brought us inspiration and now he has been inundated with our requests for framed prints. If we could just figure out what wall is most deserving of them.
