CHALK
Its a long weekend here in the States and I was feeling inspired, so I decided to paint my teenie meenie kitchen. Originally I was thinking a dark charcoal and some wall decals, but decided with chalkboard paint I can change my design whenever I want! A little magnetic primer allowed me to hang my cutest Linda & Harriet 2008 calendar pages too. (Thanks, Mindy!) This is going to be too much fun...

this looks awesome...I wish we were allowed to paint...
what a terrific idea! Absolutely love your design :)
genius stets!
I've thought about using chalkboard paint but hadn't considered magnetic primer. Brilliant idea!
wow!
love it!
linds! you're truly a creative genius! love you and your talent!!!
this is beautiful... your first design is genius! Have fun with it - a wall in our living room is painted w/ chalkboard paint and it's been great!... it never really gets back to the beautiful pre-chalk black, but you'll never get tired of being able to draw whatever you want all over your wall!
That is fabulous and so inspiring. Love the idea of it in a smaller space, you normally see it in a larger scale.
Love this! Totally graphically gratifying.
i'm so glad you have all enjoyed it! i am having so much fun.
hollabee, i know treverhoehne is thinking about painting a large stretched canvas with chalkboard paint since he is in an apartment... that might look rad!
emily, you are so right... i can't get enough of it. I keep coming up with more ideas of what to do next! (ps loving the new 'do!)
Does the magnetic primer really work? I have a wall I'm thinking I'd like to paint like yours, but I wasn't sure it would really work. Does it hold up papers with regular magents? Thanks!
Wow, this is really cool! I didn't know they had chalkboard paint! I want a wall like this so I can draw all kind of patterns that come to my mind:) Great job! The numbers are perfect too!
Brilliant idea!!! Wondering if that paint also comes in school house green...
i love this! oooh, but i could handle having the numbers up on the walls all the time!
I'd be worried about someone brushing past the design and accidentally rubbing it off! It looks awesome, I love it. Especially love the little note beside the cupboard :-)
Looks great!
